Subject: aircraft recovery using Ground penetrating radar

A collegue of mine Malcolm Weale has a geo physics company called geofizz Ltd.

He has a unique state of the art Ground penetrating radar that is highly portable and can detect down to 17 metres!
The images obtained are fed straight into a laptop computer and converted into 3 dimensional graphics that are colour coded for minerals/metal etc.It is great for detecting engines

For the past few weeks he has been assisting the aircraft archaeologist Chris Bennett for the channel 5 programme Fighter dig live which went out Sunday 30th May. Whilst Chris's expertise and dedication together with Forensic photographers narrowed the point down as to where the famous hurrcane fighter crashed on Buckingham palace road back on 15th Sep 1941 it was Malcolms gear that refined the search down the the last few centimetres! His calculated estime for the depth of the engine was acurate too!

His GPR unit is the only one of its type in this country and only four in the world!

If like minded friends in the aircraft recovery field are interested in his services then please do not hesitate to contact me and I will put you in touch.

Yours sincerely

Stuart Peers

Stockport Cheshire.
