Kelly walked in the door and set her stuff on the kitchen counter. A flash of red light caught her eye on the answering machine. Hitting the 'play' button, Kelly listened to the message.
"Hey, it's just Jake. Just wanted to say 'hi' and see how life was holding up. Give me a call back when you can. Love ya!"
Kelly hit the delete button and sighed. She picked up the phone and dialed Jake's number. Rightaway he answered.
"Hey Jake What's up?"
"Goin good here. I got a job working with horses."
"Okay,,,i'll let ya go. Love ya too."
"Bye!"

Kelly set the phone down and made lunch. She wondered what Jake was so into that he couldn't talk to her. oh well, Kelly thought as she made her samdwhich. After eating she sat on the coach and looked at the pictures on her wall. Maybe someone would come over and visit, she though as she stared at the memories on the wall.
