Subject: ::Room 27::

::Sammy drags a big suitcase up the stairs in the apartment building to the door of room 27.
She digs through her pocket and pulls out her keys, and unlocks the door. She pushes the door
open with her knee and drags the suitcase inside. Instantly warmth envelopes her and she sighs
in content. She shuts the door and locks it behind her. She sets down her suitcase on the
hardwood floor
and looks around the roomy living room. There is a rug in the center, a large couch, a
reclining chair, and there is a love seat, all of them are a nice dark purple color. On the
couch there are four pillows, two gold colored ones and two purple that match the couches color.
There is also a tv with a dvd player and a vcr. On the walls there are four pictures of
famous race horses. One is of Secretariat, one is of Ruffian, one is of Whirlaway, and the
last one is of Point Given. To the far right of the living room there is a dining room and a kitchen.
The table in the dining room is big and oak and the cupboards in the kitchen match the oak color.
On the left of the living room is a hallway with four doors. Two on the left. One on the
right and one at the very end. The first one on the left is a closet, with blankets and towels
folded up. The next door on the left is a large bedroom. The walls are painted a soft color
that is almost the color of a buckskin colored horse. There is one plain window with darker
maroon curtains. On the walls there are three pictures. One of a chestnut horse galloping
along the track, a determined look on his face, above the head of the bed, another one above
the dresser is of a steel gray Thoroughbred trotting in a pasture, and the last oneis of a
black horse in a winner's circle. The door at the end of the hallway contained another
bedroom. This one was plain white with baby blue curtians hanging. Above the head of the
bed was a picture of a Throughbred colt prancing around in a pasture. And there was one
above the dresser of a chestnut thoroughbred galloping through a field. The final door was
the bathroom. The room was painted a light lavender color. In the center was a fluffy
lavender rug. The shower curtain had some prancing horses on it, and above the toliet was a
picture of a bay horse, galloping along the sand with waves crashing at his hooves, riderless.
Sammy sighed and walked into the living room. She sat down on the couch and heard a soft meow.
She looked down and saw her two month old Maine Coon kitten rubbing against her leg:: "Hey
there sweetie" ::Sammy said to the fluffy kitten, she picked the kitten up and began to gently
stroke her back:: "Are you tired?" ::Sammy grinned as the little kitten yawned. The kitten (Buffy)
jumped off her lap and ran over to the kitchen. Her other kitten, Josie, (Buffy's sister) trotted over and
began to purr. Sammy stroked Josie's back and then stood up and walked into her bedroom.
She smiled when she saw the picture of the steel gray horse:: "I'll be to the barn soon, Silverado.
I promise" ::She whispered to herself.On her bed, her other cat Milo was fast asleep.
Sammy quickly changed into a pair of jeans, careful not to wake the cat, and headed to the kitchen.
She filled Buffy and Josie's dish with kitten food and Milo's bowl with cat food. She also refilled the water bowls,
she then fixed something for herself and then went into her room and fell fast asleep::
