a filly of few seasons trots in. told of a place where hopeful parents adopt orphans, she came running. she needed someone to to show her the ropes of this place before she could make it on her own. but hopes would not be raised, if they weren't high enough. lies down to wait, finding a grassy patch that comforted her body, and reminded her of home.
home. a place she had seen for scant seconds before the fire. no use dwelling on the past. no way was she ever going to go back there, even if she wanted too. and she most certainly did not. what would she do? it had burned down, and all had flew away, her parents included. she was an orphan, but she was not going to succomb to self-pity. she was going to grow up. stands and searches the horizon. would anyone want her though?
