She smiled softly, glad he wasn't angry. She didn't quite understand his unwillingness to touch her anymore, but she still loved him. She knew she was just simply young and her body had had a taste of something it didn't want to let go of yet. She broke from her thoughts, hearing Aoshi.

She's still sleeping.

She couldn't quite explain how she knew that. Maybe it was just because she had carried Isis in her womb and knew what the child felt. But she sensed it was more than that. She was a powerful human, a sorceress. And Aoshi was a mixture of many things, all very powerful. Isis had that power growing in her already. Jewel had felt it when the child was still in her womb. Of course, maybe that was another reason Aoshi didn't touch her. He was afraid of her giving birth to another child with the power Isis already had...
