It's a good idea to make him a ghost. May I make a suggestion? ((I get a little carried away by these things, so don't think I'm insane)) He was taking a walk when he was attacked by deamons, who kidnapped them. He escaped and killed them all unhurt. But before the last one died, it sent a curse on him to live a life of grief and despare. That's why Brook killed herself; teh curse made her feel she was not wanted by Torrik. When he returned and found her dead, he was determined to find a way to break the curse and bring back his love. Brook's ghost comes to him, to guide him in a way mortal cannot. *wipes sweat off face*
