"Mad Cowgirl" will have its World Premiere at the 8th Annual San Francisco Independent Film Festival (February 2-14, 2006).

- Saturday, February 4, 2006 @ 9:30pm in the Roxie Cinema

Directed by Gregory Hatanaka ("Until The Night"), the film stars Sarah Lassez (of Abel Ferrara's "The Blackout") as a young woman who discovers that she is treated nearly as badly as the cows she inspects at slaughterhouses for the L.A. health department. When she goes on a violent rampage against men, no one is certain whether or not she has contracted mad cow disease.

The film co-stars James Duval ("Donnie Darko"), Walter Koenig ("Star Trek") and Devon Odessa ("The Omega Code")

Produced by Edwin A. Santos

"Mad Cowgirl" was named one of the Top 10 Unseen Films of 2005 by Film Threat, which said, "Rarely has an experimental film come along like 'Mad Cowgirl' that can take reckless and daring risks and earn a payback on its artistic gambling with a tenfold return."
