Well here it is, I have a 79 ford ranchero w/a 351m and auto trans. The problem is that when I drive the car the a/c works great as long as im sitting or going at a consent speed but when I take off or try to pass then the vent blows out the defrost and not the dash vents. Ive checked for vacume leaks and I can here one that sounds like it is coming from the steering coulum. Their is a parking brake vacume switch at the bottom of the coulum but I disconected the hose and the leak is still there.is there a vacume hose or valve in the coulum? If you can help that would be great.
