Subject: Problem starting 98 Expedition

I have a 98 Ford Expedition 5.4l. V-8 75000 miles.
When engine is "cold" 45-75 F. outside temp. car will start and immediately shut down. This will happen repeatedly ( 20-30 times) keeping foot on accellerator the engine will run but will shut down as soon as foot is taken of pedal. Fuel pump reset is NOT tripped. Waiting for about 10 minutes, car will start fine. I've had it back to a dealer but was told that they couldn't find anything wrong. This has happened 6-7 times in the last 3 months. Any ideas? Fuel pump problem?, fuel pressure problem? I'll appreciate any helpful input.
Thanks.
Norm
