Written mostly for the younger ones, the pictures are fantastic! The book that we used when my children were ready for serious microscope work was Exploring With the Microscope : A Book of Discovery & Learning (Book of Discovery & Learning) This one is more involved but has great resources listed plus has some of the answers to the questions we studied!
