Hi,
Recently my car started getting slight screeching sound when turning on. It turns sharper when I step on gas. It is not that loud but really annoying.

I found the sound is from the alternator and the belt, but I am not sure. I replaced the battery before the sound started. The previous one had been there for four years and went dead suddenly. Does this have anything to do with the screeching sound?
