Sound like a leaking vacuum line or one of the diaphrams or thermovalvles are failing. Try pinching vacuum lines with a pair of needle nose. Start on lines labled 17 or (I think 19). Pinch at different locations around the engine (as these lines run around the engine to different locations) while the car is running. If there is an openning/leak, if you pinch the right line while it is running, you will know when you are close to the leak, the car will instantly run better. Start there, if nothing goes, there are other options.
