Try cleaning the engine and then park it with cardboard under it and look for drips, then chase it back into the engine keeping in mind that it may leak from a location, run along another part, and then drip onto the cardboard.

The "usual" places that they leak is the oil pan gasket/or oil pan itself may have holes, the valve cover gasket, and sometimes the o-ring at the distributor. Other common areas are the balance shaft seal, cam seal, and rear main seal. If it is the balance shaft seal and you are in need of a new timing belt anyway, you should look at replacing that.

Bottom line, find the leak and then you are better able to tell the repair cost.
