Computers rarely fail - it could be there are no codes to store. The computer is under the driver's seat.

I'd start with checking your fuel pump. If you have a weak pump, it may struggle when warm to build enough pressure. A bad temperature sensor might also trick the computer into thinking the engine is cold when it is hot, but that may be less likely.

Perhaps your EGR valve is opening and not closing when hot - again, less likely but possible. n That would affect your emissions. Of course, a bad temp sensor would not allow the emissions controls to work and then you'd fail emissions.

I'd start with making sure you had good fuel pressure at the fuel rail, and if you've not replaced the fuel filter, replace it. Then I'd make sure you have spark when hot. The ignitor is on the side of the distributor. If you buy a service manual from Autozone or Ebay, you can find where it is and replace it, but it isn't cheap and you'd want to make sure that is the problem.....hope this helps...glen
