I would first determine if that is your leak. I have gotten in the trunk during a rain storm or with someone running the hose and with a flash light found the leak (although I wont recommend to anyone to get into the trunk).

The reason I recommend that you find the leak first is that your year Honda has another common source for a leak. You can check for this other source rather easy. Pull the trunk linner on each side exposing the backs of the wheel wells. The is a weld seem between the outer corner panel and the inner wheel well panel. Check there for holes, rust and moisture. Often times with these cars if you have corrosion in this area, while driving on wet or snow/slush covered road, the water coming of the tire will fly up and into this area creating a wet trunk.

If it is the tail lights, what many people do is remove the lights, clean the surfaces of the existing gasket and re-install. By cleaning any dust out of the seal, it usually fixes the problem, if not, you can always apply a little black gasket (light bonding) material sold in tubes and reinstall. I know of no one that has bothered to buy new gaskets for the lights, but to each there own.

Good luck.
