Hi Big Baz...

Code 41 is the O2 Sensor. My daughter recently had the same symptoms on her 90 Accord DX, and replacing her O2 sensor corrected the problem.

The Accord service manual has a few resistance measurements you can perform on the O2 sensor, if you have a multimeter. If you want this info, reply and let me know if you have a DX, LX or EX, and I will repost.

(Note: DX & LX O2 Sensor is mounted in the exhaust manifold and is accessible from under the hood. EX O2 Sensor is installed in the exhaust pipe, accessible from under the car.)
