I figured it out. The brake lamp switch had to be adjusted NOT REPLACED as my brake lights worked fine. When the brake master cylinder is replaced, the brake pedal must have slipped a little when the brake fluid was drained. Adjusting the brake lamp switch to make full contact with the brake pedal is very easy. Just find it at the top of the brake, loosen the holding bolt and then screw the brake lamp switch to make full contact with the pedal, then retighten the holding bolt, and finally push the pedal down to make sure the contact point is released when the brake pedal is fully depressed. Voila, simple solution to a complex problem. Make sure your brake lights work properly before driving.
