This happened to mine too, right after I had the brakes worked on. There is a thread way below abiut because we went for 2 weeks having to stick a screw driver in the release on the console to get it out of park. then someone responded to my question and they said to also go and look because I probably didnt have brake lights working. sure enough, i had been driving in a nasty commute for the 2 weeks with no brake lights. the shop adjusted the brakes and its worked fine ever since then. does your emergency brake work? we couldnt even pull mine up but an inch when it was doing this.
