Sorry, but I have not been clear. Taking another look at it, it seems to be part of the gearbox. Three connections are made here, two hoses and what appears to be the speedometer cable. The hose connections are secure and I can't tell exactly at what point the leak is coming from. The hoses trail away to other points on the rack and pinion. Is this part serviceable without special tools? Is there a best approach?
The power steering doesn't seem to suffer even though it leaks.
By the way, there has been more than one tech who have asked how long this car soaked in the ocean. Yeah, it's a bit rusted.
