It is dificult to tell based on your description. There is a potential for a bad CV which would cause a popping/cracking sound on tight turns. As for with the brakes, if it happen when the brakes are applied, there is a potential for a wheel bearing that is failing. Hard to tell. You should try to better describe exactly when it is happening and what you are doing or not doing at the time.
