Hi everyone!

I have a 92 Accord and recently have been experiencing some whistling noises coming from the blower motor. When the fan switch is turned to minimum speed or even medium speed, a loud annoying noise is heard. The blower motor was replaced a couple of years ago (aftermarket unit, not a honda) and everything seemed to work okay. However, with the recent cold weather (winter) the blower motor seems to be getting louder everyday. When the unit is warmed up or put at the maximum fan speed, the noise tends to die down. As a last resort, I'm thinking about replacing the unit once again if the noise persist. Before doing so, are there any suggestions? I've tried to replace the unit myself, but had a hard time removing the evaporator to get to the blower motor assembly. Also, is it relatively dangerous to remove the evaporator since the freon is inside? Should the job be done by a professional and not by a D.I.Yer?
