89 Accord Lxi. during acceleration the car often feels as if it is being held back - like the parking brake is partially on. But the engine sounds good and is running smooth (not missing, etc). At constant speeds, especially on the highway, there are slighlty noticable variations in the speed / power of the car. The tach doesn change, the spedometer doesn't budge, and the sound of the engine even stay constant - but I can feel brief "stumbles" - again, as if something is slowing the car down a bit. In addition, when going around long, gentle LEFT turns, the cars experiences VERY noticable, but short, losses of power. Again, not noticable change in the tach or speed, but definte short "bucks".

I had an 87 accord that had the same "left turn" symptom I described above.

I fear transmission. Any thoughts?

Dave
