Thanks for the tip. I had the fuel pressure checked and there was hardly any, so I replaced the fuel pump. After removing the old pump I ran it straight off the battery and it was working but not very well. When I pulled the pump out I checked the wiring harness also. There is a plug/connector right beside the left rear wheel well. It picked up a lot of road dirt and salt and was pretty rough looking so I cut the plug off and recrimped the wires. It's been four days since and I have had no problems. hopefully that was the problem.
