I would take the lower splash shield off the bottom side of the engine, and then see if (laying on your back) you can reach up behind the grill and in front of the A/C condensor and radiator and trip the latch by hand. You may need another person to look through the grill to help "guide you" as you reach, but that may do the trick. If not, they you may need to take the front bumper off. I beleive you remove the front turn signals in the bumper (loosed the screw from below using a screwdriver through the hole in the bumper cover. Behind the lights you can see the 2 bolts per side that hold the bumper on. There are 2 clips at each fenderwell, and two more bolts on the bottom side of the bumper. It slides forward off of the "slide clips" at the wheelwells.

Don't overtorque the bolts behind the turn signals - only 16 ft-lbs.....good luck, glen
