Last year the oxygen sensor went out on my 1996 Honda Accord. Honda reimbursed me as it fell under the 150,000 emissions warranty extention.

Now my car with 120,000 has had trouble starting but the engine light never went on. My mechanic finally determined that the crankshaft cylinder position sensor was the problem.

I contacted Honda and they said this sensor was only covered for 36,000. They suggested that I take the car to a dealer and "maybe" they would cover it as a good will gesture. Driving my car to a dealer isn't an option seeing the car is in the process of being worked on by my local mechanic and isn't even drivable.

Isn't this sensor a part of the OBD system that Honda agreed to cover inthe 14 year, 150,000 mile warranty extension. The letter they sent me in October 2000 doesn't specify any parts not being included.
