I have a 92 Accord LX, 4-cylinder with about 135K on it. It has been well-maintained. The valves have gotten a little noisy, particularly when cold. Has a little ticking, sort of like a sticky lifter noise, not bad, but there. It never had the valves adjusted. I took it to one of the local dealers recently to have the them adjusted. After they worked on it, it sounds absolutely the same as it did before I took it in. If there was nothing else wrong, should the adjustment have quieted the valves? Is it worth taking it to someone else? Or is it common to have them adjusted correctly, but still have noise. Thanks,
Bob
