I have a 1992 honda accord 4dr automatic 150,000 KM that for the past few years has develop a bad "shift shock." When the transmission is shifting through the gears, each and everytime I would feel a sudden jerk. I've heard that the 90-93 accords have this particular problem as it ages and that putting some transmission additives should help solve the problem. I'm going to have my transmission fluid change sometime this week and was wondering if adding an additive such as Lucas Transmission Fix might help smooth out the harsh shifting. Could there be any damages done to the transmission if I added this additive? Any thoughts?
