Usually the oil filter head is sealed to the block with a contoured o-ring, and the leak is likely due to the -ring taking a set. Take the three (maybe 4) screws off, and replace the o-ring. The trick is to get the o-ring from falling out of the groove since it is a vertical mounting surface. I used a little dab of RTV when I did mine a few years back. Just enough to keep the o-ring from falling out - doesn't take much at all. Torque is about 9 lb-ft on the bolts if they are M8s.....good luck, glen
