Hi Glen,

Hopefully you have not driven your car too much and it is still running! The noise you describe is the distributor bearing. Honda will want a kings ransom to fix it if it lets go! If the car is still running take the distributor off the car, buy bearing # NASHI 6001/01ZZ from a bearing supplier and have a shop that specializes in fixing alternators and starters replace the bearing for you. Note that this bearing has only been made available to the public recently. Honda had an OEM ban on selling this part to the public. If you tackle it yourself, take the distributor apart, and break the outer race by squeezing it with vice grips. The inner race will come off by gently slicing it with a dremel tool and then prying it apart. Put everthing together carefully. If it does not start when you put the distributor back in, remove distributor, then simply undo the drive dog and move it 180 degrees. Re-install and you are mobile. Good Luck! Patrick.
