Subject: A curious thought.

In "Grave" we see Xander standing in front of Willow's magic stream.

Is it possible that Xander recieved some kind of special ability from that?

Anyone hear of anything, or is this a dead end?

I've thought about that a lot, it seems like it would have to have had some effect on him. And that was some bad, evil, nasty shit Willow was channelling. Would it be like getting zapped by a big microwave? Is Xander going to have the magickal equivalent of radiation sickness? What if it starts making him evil? Is it going to do anything at all?

Probably not, but I sure hope they don't just leave that thread hanging. I think it would be cool to see some after effects from it.

It was such a massive scene and done at the very end of S6. Plus, Xander intentionally stepped in front of the magic stream twice, and Willow was channeling some deep, dark mojo.

I just hope that ME doesn't let it die on the vine. It could give Xander an additional, very interesting, storyline this year.

The Magicks that Willow was conjuring up to invoke that stream were indeed dark, but the stream itself, no. Willow was drawing the Life Force out of the planet and all living beings, the power in that Force would not necessarily be bad or good. Primarily though it would be potent, and my guess is that Xander ended up with a very good disposition, a good outlook on life. He probably feels better than any person ever could after that.

Hi, new poster. As a rule I have found that if they make a big production out of something like they did in Grave their is something to it.

Many people are saying things about Xander coming back with Powers. And yeah I've heard stuff about the Evil Xander. Though I would really have to question them coming back next season with Xander being Evil from the same bottle of mojo that Willow was drinking off of. However it is possible. But I do agree that I think they will do something with all that majic.

I am extremely hopeful this will develop into an actual interesting storyline for the Xan man.

Kind of like Miss Parker's "inner sense" (even though it was never explained well) on Pretender ?

In other words Xander will still be perfectly normal but he could have heightened awareness, etc, and it might be a commentary on the 'untapped' parts of ourselves.

I don't actually enjoy such storylines - I think they are lame copouts - but this keeps Xander "normal" and yet gives him the Buffy-related story arc everyone has been waiting for.

From spoilers, does anyone know how he reacts to Nancy in S7 E2? Does he pick up on everything right away, etc.?
