Hello

Just thought that I would post this. What would you like to see or what do you believe will be Xander's role this season.

I would like to see a normal Xander. By that I mean I do not want to see super human Xander due to the blast he received from Willow. That will disappoint me. His uniqueness was his human-ness.

I would like to see a more confident Xander, ala The Zeppo.

I would like to see a clean-cut ending to the Xander/Anya storyline that is the best for all parties.

I would like to see more of Xander's strengths (carpentry knowledge, humor, courage) front and center more often.

Not sure what role I would like Xander to play. More of S1 or S2 type.

I think it would absolutely, positively fucking rock if Xander started making weapons for Buffy. I also think it would be kind of cool if he had a surveillance van sort of like what the geeks had last year that he could use to help out Buffy.

Well, I'm going to go the unpopular route. I actually would kind of like Xander to get soem powers or abilities, or at least learn how to fight. I mean we got Dawn kicking zombie ass in the finale and Xander still gets knocked around by one single solitary vamp. If he's not to get any super strength or whatever, then they certainly at least need to make him more like Wes and Gunn with the whole butt kicking thing.

I also want Xander to get an A arc for once, so that he's not just reacting to someone elses story, but more that they are reacting to HIS story.

I want to see Xander get closer to Buffy, and YES, I want to see it lead to something romantic. I think its about damn time B/X shippers got something for our faith.

I could handle a story where Xander gets some kind of power but coems to realize that he would rather be powerless, that his power is his heart and amazing courage and that he already is superhuman in that respect, or something sappy like that. It would also force the others to finally face how they've treated Xander and reazlise just how valuable he is.

Oh, and if they are going to continue with the Xander/Spike angst then it would be nice to reveal why Xander feels the way he does about vamps so maybe some people might feel sympathy for him for a change. I mean he did have to stake his best friend. Something like that has gotta effect a person deeply.

Because the way it looks right now is very prejudicial in an abstract way: The only good demon or vamp, is a dead demon or vamp. Now, granted, no way would *I* hang around demons or vamps in RL, but the implications in BTVS are that differences are not accepted. So this would be great to delve into *his* reasons a little deeper. It would validate his stance while the others seem more tolerant. Cool thoughts!! Let's keep our fingers crossed for a season of tying up loose ends!! :-)

Question for you ... did he actually stake Jesse, or did Jesse stumble and fall into the stake in Xander's hand. I can not remember. Jesse certainly was a cutie btw (you knew I had to throw in something like that) pre-vamp, or vamp!! ;-)

Jessie was actually shoved by some fleeing people, onto Xander's stake, but in the end it was still Xander who killed him, and it would be enough that his friend was turned in the first place. You're right, lets keep our fingers crossed on some tying up of loose ends.
