Dave Fury said that he did not think Anya had a Soul, but I think that Espenson and Wazzername, the witch, both thought that Anya had a Soul. Espenson said it was a source of discussion in ME.

Makes sense that she always had it. Vengence is born out of human scorn. That a Souled Human would go along with such behaviour makes the acts that Anya commited all the more ...... here's where I come up with brain lock....

Well, I think she's had it all along. Which makes me wonder if ALL demons have souls. Only vampires (because the human must die to become a vampire) lose their souls. So, what is a vampire with a soul? Simply that, or more ... demon or human. They are an aberration.

........with the Demon Soul thingy.... Cause it would seem the Hell Gods (the two that survived Glory and are now in Fray) are in cahoots with Demons somehow against the Vampires. It's all part of Joss' master plan about the Buffyverse....

I gotta remember to get back to this board more often!! Sorry, I did not answer you before this!

Because for a vampire on BtVS, Soul having is like "Get out of Jail Free" card having. And that just gets confusing. Buffy kills demons only IF they are dangerous. Alright. And she doesn't do it to punish them but simply to protect the innocent? But if thats a the case. What about the demons that have the capability to kill but don't use it. And what about the Vampires at the Riley's Whore House. They weren't killing any one. But it was competely fine to kill them.

Its just that the way I'm interpretting this, and I do realize I'm getting off my original topic a bit, is that Buffy kills those demons/vamps that are a threat.

Well then my question becomes what about those who are a potential threat? With Spike, though he physically couldn't hurt anyone, he was capable of betraying the scoobs just as he did in season 4, he also could take command of a band of demons. Though apparently he didn't think this far ahead. He could kick their asses and so thusly they could kick ass for him. But he was still potentially an evil being. And even up to AYW, even though alot of people hate that ep. He was involved in evil undertakings. that while they didn't actually get anyone killed they were intendant on killing alot of people. So he has definitely presented himself as a malicious threat since the time he could easily been staked. Its not like the opportunity wasn't there. And I"m not even talking about the stuff he has done this year.

But I just have major issued with who Buffy kills and why. Certain situations are obvious. the vamp sucking on the little old lady on the corner, no question. But when it comes to demons with souls and Vampires with chips, its all a little fuzzy and I feel buffy has made some uneven choices.
