........in the Wabash River, just south of my farm - if it hasn't been sold already. It's called 7 Mile Island and I think it is about 10 acres. Trouble with the island is that when the river gets up the island goes under - water. It does have quite a few trees on it though. Take them away and the island would probably wash away. The island has a notorious history, mostly as a hideout for crooks or as a moonshiners paradise during Prohibition.

Seven Mile Island is one of only two large islands in the Wabash. Though I guess technically, Bull Island south of New Harmony is also an island when the Wabash is up. Bull Island was the site of a week long festival that tried to be another Woodstock. The bands weren't of the caliber that were at Woodstock, but everything else the audience imbibed, ingested, shot-up, or otherwise did, certainly was.
