Subject: Report from San Diego--one measly spoiler from Joss

Hi everyone,

I don't have a lot of time to post right now but I wanted to tell you that I did make it to see Joss yesterday, and it was a lot of fun. He was mainly there to promote Firefly and he was really tight-lipped about Buffy season 7, but he did spill a few tiny things. The only thing he mentioned that I haven't heard brought up before was about Anya. He said that in the fifth or sixth episode of the next season Anya will have a solo musical number that will reveal something about her. He said they're going to flash back to "a time in Anya's life that just happens to be during Once More With Feeling."

The singing Anya spoiler was unfortunately the biggest thing, but he did talk for quite a while and if I remember anything else I'll add it to this thread later.

Do they show her singing one of the songs we've already seen - only dig deeper?! Does she sing a different song entirely?! Do we find out she summoned Sweet?! And Xander just covered for her or something (I know, lame). Damn that Joss ;-)

He did say that much. It sounds like we're going to be "flashing back " to something we didn't see before. He said the flashback was going back to something that happened to Anya around the OMWF time. I know, I don't get it either.

Emma And The Bunnymen

Scattered reports have begun to come in from the San Diego Comic Con, where both Joss and Emma appeared. Most of the information that I've been able to locate is coming from Jamie, who posted a brief account at the Cross and Stake. While I haven't been able to independently confirm anything, there are two major spoilers which seem to have been spilled.

- Anya, in a flashback to 'Once More With Feeling', will be singing a ballad in Episode Five of this season.

- Eliza Dushku, has made a commitment to appear in both 'Angel' and 'Buffy' this upcoming season. While still not guaranteed, Joss is hopeful that this will happen.
