Subject: NB Interview (originally posted at Spoiler Slayer .... and I stole it ... and brought it here;)

It seems like it was only last month that Nicholas Brendon was quoted in an interview that Season Seven would be the last. Wait, it was only last month that he was saying that.

In his latest interview, this time for YM magazine, Nicholas states that next season could be the last, but that he's under contract for three more years. Which likely means that ME and Fox have an option for another three years, but it doesn't guarantee that the show will continue for another three years.

The fact they have NB under contract for 3 more years but "Buffy" the Vampire Slayer is ending. this could mean the fucking Dawn spinnoff. grrr that doesn't really appeal to me.

He really has a different opinion about Xander than most other posters out there. I just hope he knows a little more of where Xander is going and is pleased about it.

One thing I'd like to mention, I'm sure all the BSers at the B&S board are going to go nuts with his comment about them dealing with the Buffy and Spike thing. Well of course they have to deal with the reprecussions of "RAPE". But he did mention in the answer above that he really has no idea of whats going to happen next season. So I'm guessing what he said is just speculation of his own.

I like how he said, "I wasn't pining away, saying, "When's it going to be my turn?" The show is called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" — we can't lose sight of that!" How long have I been saying it's Buffy's story, which is why S8 without her would make no sense? I love him!

So they want the show to continue, and he's conracted for 3 more years? sounds hopeful, but i'll only watch if Buffy's in it. I love Xander, but can't watch Buffy without Buffy.

This is my first acting gig, so I was kinda thrown into the fire.
Yup! He's a terrific actor! Couldn't believe it was his first job when i first heard that!

We're going to have to deal with the Willow stuff, there's going to be the Buffy and Spike stuff, and Xander is going to fit in there somewhere.
Yeah, i say he should fit in as in in a BX kinda way! Please ME! 6 years of loyalty! You owe me big time!!!

I agree with the less blood, more love. that's why i like the show - them all being great friends (and more in Buffy and Xander's case!!)

I loved this article, especially the "Buffy's Boy" bit! Can i say a big, HECK YES!!! I hope so!

Though a Spike spinoff would be great. :-D

Even greater is that if Spike and Xander begame an Odd Couple in the spin off. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!
