The innocent one peers up at her masters guise, her thriving mass contradicts Juniper’s frosty figure. “Aye, mistress?” The child’s fresh hands clutch at Juniper’s elder ones. “Seòlta peathar… ciamar a tha thu? Thy must be pleased… to have found such a home?”

“Me little doimhne anam, do not worry ye little head.” Winds a strand of wispy curls between thin fingers. “We shalt stay.”
