Subject: Brighten Up

As the dark of winter morning and evenings approache, we the vunerable cyclist need to brighten up our clothing so as to be easily seen. I have noted cyclists with dark clothing or colours that merg with the colour of dusk.
It is realy nessesary to be seen from all angles and not just from behind. In the days before fluro colours I used an old white shirt over the top of my jersey and just let it flap. Use long white walk socks over dark colour leg warmers and search out a bright coloured kit bag for your back.A bit of the reflective stuff on arms and legs wont go amiss either.Too much reliance is being placed on having lights alone.I have observed that one in every ten motorist lets their vehicle drift over the shoulder line and If we are not seen or acknowleged ......
