Subject: Great website

One day this forum site will take off and be a much visited site for those wanting to share info/ideas/ask questions etc in Wgtn cycling circles but for now seems only a few appreciate its potential.

Here's a tip: I have just discovered an outstanding cycling website full of great tips/articles/interesting email newsletter/downloadable ebook on experts' tips etc. If you haven't come across it go now to www.roadbiker.com

You are right Kevin, specially when you live in Owhango and we are looking for training camps. Thanks for the web site and well done on your note to the OTB ers re crash sites, it looks like they are heeding your warning and changing some of their upcoming rides. Are you coming to the winter training camp this weekend - some more steep hills to descend...

Gee, i've only just come across this forum today but about a month ago decided to set up a very similar forum after looking for a road-training partner in vorb and finding no welly-based resources!

I see loads of people out on the road but the lack of use of this forum would indicate that the forum i've created won't be used more either but for those interested it's at http://www.bishop-nz.com/WRB-forum/index.php - anyway it's there if it's useful.

After scraping around Taupo (completely unprepared) i want to improve my riding and am looking to do some decent rides before Taupo-2006 (this year my max was 75k at Waikanae a couple of weeks before!) so that i can enjoy it more ;-) So, what i'm after is someone interested in some early saturday or sunday morning rides of varying length from 40k upwards - as a guide i am comfortable doing a Fryberg-RoundBays-Fryberg in 1:15-1:30. I don't know how i would fit in with the regular rides with that pace so any indications from anyone would be useful!

Anyway, if you're interested in early-weekend rides post a message either here or my forum - i'll be monitoring both.

Cheers,

Elcaro.
