I can suggest trying another vet for another opinion on the matter, you may also want to try a different brand of dog food as there may be something in the brand that you are feeding that is causing an allergic reaction. There are two products that I can recommend and would discuss with your vet. One is Science Diet as I've been told it was a good food for dogs having allergies plus Solid Gold. http://www.solidgold.com . This website can provide you with some information. They also list some products can can be given to your dog for all sorts of problems like dry skin.
