When playing guitar, my index-, middle- and ringfinger performs vary smoothly and are not lifted far from the fretboard between fretting different notes. The problem is my pinky. It feels like having a sledgehammer attached to my hand! When playing it lifts about an inch over the fretboard and then whacks down like a hammer! I have no control what so ever over this little bastard. This occurs even if I play slow. Is there some kind of exercise that can help me whit this? Would be very grateful if you could give me some suggestions of what to do.
