does your guitar have a pickup on it? If you do - all you need is a patch cord and plug right into the soundcard. I did this with a soundblaster, Ill post my link and you can give it a listen. It's call "Sleeping Panther" -- also - on the other page I did those two classical pieces with a mini disk. If you are really ready - get the demo of Samplitute and start recording -- You get 90 days to do it all -- that just be enough time to record your CD -- SO - All you need is a patch cord ;-). You can get a good mic with a battery and record into the sound card also - But if you get a nice sound card - 24/96 - and one or two mics -- you are set for sometime, but the room your in will have noice lile the computer / AC / heater - so you will have to deal with that.

Good luck
Tom
