Overall they're pretty neat. They are more poseable, and as long as the character works shirtless (Goku for example) they'd be fine.

I swapped arms from Vegito and Vegeta and the result is pretty close to the later series tank top look Vegeta sports.

I have high hopes that the SS Vegeta will have more arm movement w/ the shirt on.

As for you suggestion to why not soft shirts? Beats me. That would be an easy and perfect solution. Whey they did rock hard ABS 2 part shirts is beyond me, especially considering that the hands are very very soft PVC!

Silly Bandai.

Oh, I just got the Art of Fusion Vegeta/Goku 2 pack from Jakks. While Vegeta's head sculpt is a bit goofy (very cartoony) the body is rather well articulated. Not the level of the Bandai (no ball hips) but there are ball shoulders, elbows, knees and ankles.

Jakks is getting there...
