It applies to west malaysia as well. Even if it's stated as a toy shipped from overseas countries, as long as there's a price stated on the package slip, they'll tax you. When your package comes and they see that it's taxable from the package slip, they'll send you a yellow customs card that asks you to go to the post office to pick up your package and pay tax. First they look at the value of the item from the package slip or the invoice, then multiply 10% then 5% which will equel the amount of tax you''ll have to pay.

But I manage to find a way out of this. Since I look like I'm still studying in high school (actually I'm in college now) and I bring only RM10-15 when I go to the customs. So when they tax me, I'll bring up my wallet, pretend to see how much I've got and say "oops I don't think I brought enough money" then the customs officer is kind enough to say "that's alright I'll lower the tax for you". In the end, I paid about RM12-14 depending on the amount of money I brought. And I've done this for more than 5 times now!! :P If I didn't do this, I'd have to pay custom taxes of RM30-60!!

Btw, you know of anyone who wanna buy Grave from me? I'll sell at cost of RM300.
