First of all, no one really knows the background of Soleil, some things have been made clear, but a lot of it is still unknown. She's, well, even more mysterious than Raistlin... if that's possible. A weird mutation did occur, Adalia was born mute, able to communicate telepathically, not using actual words. Also, there's something that you should read:
