Author: Question about Trinity Star
Subject: Is she academically qualified

I read that L. Johnson is not academically qualified and may end up going to a Jr. college. Is this true? If so, shame on her high school BB coaches and her AAU coaches who used her to advance their programs. If this is true, this means that she out performed a lot of young ladies on the court, but they appear poised to outperform her in life. Not that a Jr. college is the end of the world, some of them are quite good. But if this is true it proves that she can't succeed as a student athlete, so she should concentrate on being a student.

Very unusual response. You still didn't answer the question posed by "Question about Trinity Star". I assume from your answer that I will see the Trinity Star in question playing DI basketball this fall at MSU. If not, I will assume that she was used by coaches and everyone else. Instead of playing AAU, she would have done better taking a Kaplan ACT course!

IT IS WHAT IT IS!!! You being her friend don't change this a bit. Maybe instead of responding to inquisitive posts on this board, you could help your friend with her studies. This would indicate that you are a true friend.

What the first poster did not say is this. Shame on her parents for letting this happen!!!

P.S.
You should probably work on your grammar prior to taking standardized college entrance exams also!!

Great,

We all will be following her in the freshman year. I hope she averages 25 pts and 15 rbs.

Daughter, I think you are a little confused when you quoted what she said. I don't understand what you are trying to say. Use simple sentences and it would make life for you a whole lot easier!!!

Who cares.... If she is qualified - who cares....If she is not qualified - who cares.. Her hs career is over. She wouldn't be the first to be qualified, nor would she be the first to be academically unqualified. It has been widely publicized on another girls BB site that she is not qualified... It is reported here that she is qualified.. It could be a good conversation piece on this site, as it was on the other site, if some could refrain from using profanity and ignorance and simply make a statement. When a person is a public figure at any level, this dialogue comes with the territory. But really, its boring, because time will tell. And really nobody cares!!!!

Could you people simply stop telling others to get off this site, or shut up just because they don't agree with you or your point of view. That defeats the purpose of dialogue based blogs! If you don't agree, make your opposing statement and let the dialogue continue!!!!!!!!

And we should also stop putting false info about people out there to simply hurt them. It's not playing fair.

I heard that 5 players from Johnson's AAU team went to Ivy League schools last year including Brittani Nichols who went to Yale.

If she did not qualify, it had nothing to do with her AAU team using her. Her AAU commitment at most was two days a week. Her high school also kept her out her entire freshmen year because of grades.

At a certain point grades are about the kid and their desire to excel.

Question :"what does her going to practice has to do with her being qualified"
Answer: It's a question of priorities and time management. If she is not qualified, the time spent at basketball practice would have been better used at college prep practice.

You wrote: "whoever is puting her business on here you are really intelligent"

Response: It really don't take a lot of intelligence to repeat what has been stated by credible sources elsewhere. If she is not qualified, it's simply a matter of saying" she's not qualified" It's the same as saying "she scored 25 pts" when she scores 25 pts. How many pts she score on any give night is nobody's business either, but you don't complain when that info is published. If this is indeed true and you don't like that this info is being put out, there, that's your problem. Change it by helping her qualify!!!
