Re: Is She Academically Qualified -- Oh Really, 11:18:17 07/10/07 Tue
How many girls from last year's Chicago Hoopes Express team that attended Trinity High School in River Forest qualified academically for one of those "BIG NAMED SCHOOLS" that you are referring to?

Marche' Smith qualified. She chose to go to a small DIII programs with academic standards as high as many of your better Big 10 schools.
Lykendra Johnson did not qualify but this had nothing to do with her playing in CHE. Trinity is where she went to school and they are the ones who let her skate through. There would have been and could have been many helping Johnson but her mother wanted to keep everything under wraps and she felt like she did not need anyones help.
Kendra will end up at a JUCO and in two years I am sure she will resurface probably at DePaul.

Re: Is She Academically Qualified -- Interesting topic, 10:28:53 08/01/07 Wed
Just wondering, If she couldn't make the grade in high school, how will she do well enough in a JUCO to enter Depaul. Is Depaul that academically weak?

Re: Is She Academically Qualified -- DUDC, 11:48:53 09/14/07 Fri
Obviously you don't follow CHE that closely. You cannot associate the lack of educational wisdom with playing for CHE. How many girls are you familiar with that play for CHE? If not all, then you can't make the general assumption that poorly performing in school has anything to do with playing for CHE. That's very retarded! First, how can you generalize a school issue with a team that doesn't play during the school year? Doesn't make sense! Also, how many of CHE players have qualified and went onto a D1 school! When you get the exact number then compare that with the exact number that you get of those who didn't qualify. Those who did qualify outweighs those who didn't qualify doesn't it! And lastly, for you to make this statement shows you sense of ignorance because you made this generalization. Also, you must have some type of hatred toward CHE for some reason! Did they whoop up on your daughter's team or perhaps was it your team? Don't hate the PLAYERS hate the GAME!!!

Re: Is She Academically Qualified -- All of the Trinity Star Defenders, 06:02:52 09/24/07 Mon
Reality is a hard pill to follow. And by the way, they did not whip up on my daughter's team. My daughter was studying and preparing for the SAT and ACT when it appears as if they were playing BB for CHE.
But let's examine some of your statements.
You wrote:
"First, how can you generalize a school issue with a team that doesn't play during the school year?"
Whoever you are, you should understand that one can study and prepare for educational objectives outside of the school year. I would even say that successful college students at any level are successful because of this.
Maybe you should wait until school is in session and ponder this.
Then you wrote:
"When you get the exact number then compare that with the exact number that you get of those who didn't qualify. Those who did qualify outweighs those who didn't qualify doesn't it!"
You insist that I present exact numbers to support my statements, then you make the numbers based statement that the qualifiers outweigh the non-qualifiers, but you also do this without presenting any numbers!!!
Your answer should have been better since school is in session and you have a green light to study!
The you concluded by saying:
"And lastly, for you to make this statement shows you sense of ignorance because you made this generalization."
But your statements without supporting numbers are also generalizations. If this shows my sense of ignorance I see it, but it appears as if you are unaware of your sense of ignorance.
