Re: Top 10 teams nex yr -- baskets, 13:28:04 06/23/08 Mon
I have no knowledge of what transpires behind close doors with that group of kids.I was just defending the character of the players and giving credit where I deemed it was due.The CHE issue is old news, whatever may have happened between those who left to join the Demons is a decision that they must have felt comfortable doing.I'm sure that these kids are student-athletes first so there chances of playing at the next level should be ok.I'm not saying they are BCS players, but they all have an opportunity to play in college.

I was not questioning the exposure they would have recieved playing with CHE,everyone knows that JD give all of his team exposure. If you really read the context of my statements I stated that they were given a better oppotunity with the Demons.I only say this because of yhe playing time issue, yes I beleive all players garner court time with thier practice habits and performance in practice. But in retrospect Sha has given them a window of opportunity that may not have been available to them with CHE.I think both situtaions were great for those kids.I also beleive they have they ability and experience to be good this year. They may have the best post play in the state with Kiki,Terry and Shontae.Thier only knock is inconsistant backcourt play but incoming freshman Amber Johnson could be big for them.Baker should be fully recover from her injuries and her level of confidence should return soon, which makes her a great wing player.Romeshea's a great shooter from outside who's play above her abilities and has found some confidence in her game. She needs to handle the ball better and more often too be sucessful at the next level but she has shown improvement like most have stated.Mo's great and most have to understand to live with her turnovers because she the primary ballhandler, but that should subside with Johnson aboard.I truly justed wanted to state that it's unfair to use this forum to assinate the character of a player, coach or program basically. So all enjoy the rest of the basketball and be excited for a great year of highschool basketball.I have no vested interest in Von's players I jumped on thier wagon because I enjoy the way they play and simply because you and some media always find flaws about them.
