Subject: Girls practicing against boys

In college girls often practice against boys. The boys are usually much better players than the girls but playing against the boys helps the girls improve. Question, should the boys get scholarship money for their efforts? Remember the boys are actually the better atheletes. So the only reason they would not get it is because of discrimination based on gender, a clear violation of the equal protection clause of the United States Constitution.

I work for a well known D-1 school in the city I can tell you with certainty that we've never practiced against the girls. In fact, the mens team barely associates with the girls team other than the fact that the basketball offices are within close proximity. None of the players I know at other schools have ever practiced against a girls team. The two are seperate entities, in general. No serious D-1 coach (or D-anything coach) would incorporate that into their game plan because it is of no help to their program and we all know college hoops is a business before anything else.
