Sure you right. If Shonte is one of the 3 or 4 best incoming freshmen posts, the state of girls basketball in Chicago is worst than I observed and my reports need to be updated to reflect the poor state of girls BB in Chicago. The report on Shonte was not just my report, it was a consensus among many that I spoke with who saw her this summer, primarily at the Summer Jam and the USJN summer final. She should have stayed at Clark and participated in the IB program, gono to college, get a valid education, and don't count on making it in basketball. Here is the difference between inner city kids like Shonte, and kids who are used to more stability. Lots of parents would have never let their kids leave a valid college prep school and chase a BB dream. It appears that most of the posts on this board are from inner city kids who:

1. Don't understand the game of BB
2. Are weak fundamentally in BB
3. Haven't seen skilled kids play because the skilled kids are not playing on the inner city playgrounds.

Are willing to foregoe a very good education and chase a dream. I hope Adidas, Nike, and Reebok can afford to sned all of you through college and hire you as basketball experts afterwards. So keep buying the shoes!!!
