I said I wouldn't write on this board again because of the trash that comes from certain players at certain schools. But this is a very good and pertinent subject.

Don't know about the Clark team or players. I saw the Razor kid play against Loyola when I was looking at Weisman and McCoy a couple of years ago while I was in the Chicago area. She was with Mother McAuley then, I remember writing that she had a very high number of conversions for the amount of touches she had that game. Then she just disappeared. It appears as if she has re-emerged at Clark. If things have not changed and she has continued to work hard; she could play with everyone on the court then, she should be equally as good now. Whether or not she is a superstar I don't know, but she was good then and she had a very high basketball I.Q.

Concerning the abuses of Girls in AAU is the real reason I joined this conversation. I travel from California to New York, Texas to Canada. If anyone is not aware of the abuses of young women that takes place in AAU, they are living with their head in the sand, or they simply refuse to believe that "The Emperor Has no Clothes!" AAU does produce some very talented atheletes for us at the next level, but to be very honest, most of these girls eventually have to overcome the issues related to their previous abuses. Many never overcome. Not many will play at the professional level, and the demands of college atheletics prevent all but the very best students from taking a meaningful curriculmn. I hate to say it, but that's why most of the elite teams, not all of them, are loaded with inner city minorities. I say most of the elite teams, not all of them. There are teams like the Illinois Full Package, Ohio Lady Hoopstars, etc, but if you follow those girls and then follow the girls from the other teams, you'll see a very real difference in life after basketball. I have found that the parental involvement for the Lady Hoopstars, to name one, far exceeds the parental involvement from the Chicago Hoops Express. Their players go to different schools where their high school teams are good because they are their. They haven't transfered to the area basketball powerhouse, if there is one in t he area. From my observation, basketball to them is a means to an end, not and end to a means.

It's just my professional observation; I know it may not mean a lot to you "Whatever", but it is what it is. I am completely unbiased observer.

Got a chance to catch Clark tonight. They lost. I have to agree with Whatever. Clark has one player, '(#40), I think that's the Razor kid. The rest of them are probably what whatever described them as "Garbage players". They are dumb on the court and selfish. Guards can't run a simple offense, they try to force drives while their best shooter was wide open. I blame the coaches. Number 10 & 23 should have been sat down after multiple force drives. If number 10 is Crump that ClarkBBfan talked about, she didn't show any skill or inteligence. She should be playing grade school BB. I've seen grade schoolers make better decisions. Maybe she is a freshman and has a lot to learn, but she shouldn't have been on the floor if they wanted to win. It turned out to be a game of one pretty good player (#40)against a team and the team won. #40 blocked shots, rebounded, and scored when the ball was passed to her. At the end, she was forced to bring the ball down the floor. They need a big time smart guard and they could compete. To itsjustagame, I don't think this team deserves any respect.
